Clay County has had a period of strong growth over the past
decade, due in part, to the expansion of its neighbor, Duval County. However, the main
reason for this growth, many believe, is the beautiful St. Johns River. Once you have seen
this great waterway you'll better understand why people come to visit and stay awhile. A
long while. They do that because this is a very beautiful part of the world.
Clay County has many miles of the St. Johns River as its border and the
fishing, boating, and nature watching are on every turn.
