Osceola County was once known for its cattle raising in central Florida. Then a good neighbor decided to built a home in our county, and the north central area of Osceola became very urbanized. That good neighbor was Walt Disney World. Along with other attractions, in the adjacent Orange County, the area around St. Cloud and Kissimmee, became a haven for tourists. Still most of the county has continued raising cattle with Kissimmee being called the "cow capital" of Florida. The Kissimmee Lake and River are very beautiful and offer the potential homeowner a great place to call home.
Although millions of tourist visit Disney, only an hour away
from that area, thousands of acres of ranchlands and wildlife preserves are found in
Kenansville (go to map of county to see location).
