Walton County most famous attraction is Grayton Beach State Recreational Area with 356 acres of lakes, pine forest, and the Gulf of Mexico shoreline and beaches. These have been rated the finest in the nation. This northern county has the highest elevation in Florida, 345 ft above sea level, in the community of Lakeview.
